Train to Serve and Lead!

LEAD is a program designed to put significant on-going leadership training within reach of today’s women by offering workshops and classes to equip and enrich the lives of women in ministry. The goal of LEAD focuses on four element of a leader’s life: Character, Calling, Competence and Courage.

HISTORY
The first LEAD event was held in February 2007 in partnership with LifeWay Publishing, bringing Beth Moore’s Living Proof Live to the Seattle area. Over 5,000 attended this event and more than 600 women in ministry gather prior to the event for a day of LEAD training.

The following spring, over 400 women gathered for Momentum, a LEAD conference with training, networking and inspiration. Anita Carmen Li, of Inspire Women providing the plenary teaching. In addition, there were eleven training workshops.  Twenty-three ministry organizations were represented providing information and resources to meet the needs of women.

In the spring of 2008 LEAD partnered with The School of Women’s Ministries and Converge Northwest to provide a two-year certification program for women serving in ministry leadership.

This program was designed to put significant leadership training within reach of today’s women by offering six units of quality classroom instruction and church internship over a two-year period. Fifty-two women completed the certification process and many others took the classes for enrichment.

Currently we are planning to expand LEAD and offer classes, conferences and curriculum in the following areas:

  • Spiritual Formation
  • Servant Leadership
  • Program Development and Strategic Planning
  • Meeting Women's Needs
  • Team Building and Development
